This is mostly a knitting blog. Sometimes pictures of things I've made, sometimes not. I'm a guy who knits, I usually attend a men's stitch 'n' bitch on Monday nights, and I prefer natural fibres to artificial ones. I have a love-hate relationship with bamboo yarns: I love what they can do and how they look, I hate how they are made. I've been knitting since about 2003, though I really didn't get into it until 2005, while convelescing with a broken leg. I must have discovered something good, 'cause I'm still knitting years later.

I have booked my flight to Boston for May 12 through 16.
I have rounded up my posse, Huw, Erick, Lisa.
We are going to the New Hampshire Sheep and Wool Festival.
Can I run around and scream like a five year old now?

Yeah, I guess I am that knitter: I'm planning a trip back to Boston to visit friends around a Sheep and Wool festival. Of course, I do want to get together with some friends, visit my favourite Chinese restaurant that I missed before I moved (Mary Chung in Cambridge: get the Swan Low Chow Show, even though I've never had it because it contains pork). I really do enjoy these festivals so very much, and they don't have them around here in Louisiana. Two of the ladies at the knitting group have been to Maryland's S&WF, and I think they've been to Rhinebeck, too. New Hampshire's is small, but so much fun! And I'm hoping A Hundred Ravens will be there, because I want to get these mini sets:
Hecate Mini Set
Mermaid's Tail Mini Set
Because reasons. OK, yeah, there's a pattern I want to try with these colourways. Right now the Mermaid's Tail is out of stock, but I remain hopeful that by May they'll have it again.

I am promising myself that I will not go overboard this year, and am not bringing all that much money with me for yarn. But I do want to visit The Periwinkle Sheep, because of more reasons. Their fingering weight yarn is out of this world!

May can't get here fast enough!
